Lab Platform Governance, Media and Technology (PGMT)

PGMT Lab member taught at SWING 2025, Salerno

Dr. Dennis Redeker has been invited to teach at the Salerno Winter School on Internet Governance (SWING) in March 2025. Joining Internet and platform governance experts from around Europe, Dennis delivered a lecture and participated in a discussion on how the UN system deals with global challenges of governing digital technologies. In his contribution, he focused on the “digital cooperation” agenda of the UN secretary general and the recently agreed Global Digital Compact. The stay in Salerno, Italy, also served to finalize a grant proposal ZeMKI and the partners at the University of Salerno are both involved in. SWING 2025 has been organized by Francesco Amoretti, Mauro Santaniello and Nicola Palladino.

The University of Salerno has recently become a partner university of ZeMKI; BA and MA students of media and communication can spend a semester abroad there and be funded by the Erasmus+ program.
