Vanessa Richter

Vanessa Richter is a PhD student in Prof. Christian Katzenbach’s Lab “Platform Governance, Media, and Technology” at the Center for Media, Communication and Information Research (ZeMKI) at the University of Bremen since 2021. After her Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies with a focus on Digital Media and Journalism, she completed her M.A. in Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam in 2021 with a study abroad at the University of Sydney. In 2020, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Sydney in the Faculty of Media and Communication. Since 2021 she is part of the Critical Data Studies research group at the Unviersität Groningen.

Research interests

Platform Governance, Artificial Intelligence, Social Media Research, Human-Computer Interaction, Communication and media ethics.
